Kagari - Piercing by appleseedexm Kagari - Piercing by appleseedexm
After all I got her in front of my camera. After some really freezing shots (snow & wind, damn, I love it to have so cool ppl to work with under such conditions) our group decided to go into the biological garden of Zurich (05.12.2010).

I didn't really know how to name this one, but since her look is somehow piercing I thought that may fit.

:icondiriagoly: - Cosplay

:iconappleseedexm: - Photography & LR

In the end I am okay with the outcome of this picture since the conditions were not that easy for me. Well, everybody's getting better. Critique is definitely requested (pleeease!), still, the critique part's on the photography and not on the cosplay itself IMHO.

What kind of lighting did you use?

Do you mean in lightroom or the flash I used for taking the picture?

I wanted to know if you used ambient light or a flash, or what kind of flash setup you used.

Ah okay. I didn't have the possibilities (money ._.) for a external flash so I only have the built-in flash (which is, who wonders, crap). And since the few pictures I tried with the flash were no really that what we wanted, I took more or less every picture only with the ambient light (including this one).

Ok, thanks. I've been doing a lot more cosplay photos lately, and I've been learning all the lighting tricks I can.

Well on the lighting side this isnt really a good example. The ambient light was mostly bad so the originals were too dark. Since my camera isnt really the best DSLR (especially for darker images) the biggest part I did in Lightroom was the exposure part. These are only two of too many reasons why the bigger version lacks of quality as you can see.
But I still like it somehow when I look at the whole work itself and what I've got out of it under these circumstances.
